Common questions
How many H1 headings should a page have?
One is the clearest choice. HTML allows more, and Google handles them, but a single H1 makes the main topic unambiguous for people and for assistive technology.
Do headings affect rankings?
Headings help search engines and readers understand structure and topic. They are not a magic ranking lever, but a clear outline supports good content.
Why does skipping a level matter?
Screen reader users navigate by heading level. Jumping from H2 to H4 suggests a missing section and makes the outline confusing.
Is the page I check stored?
No. Our server makes one request to fetch the page and returns it to your browser. Nothing is saved, and the analysis runs in your browser.
Why can the tool not see some pages?
Pages behind a login, blocked to bots, or built entirely with JavaScript return little or nothing to a plain request. The Scoped SEO extension reads the live page in your own browser and does not have this limit.
